Frequently Asked Questions

What is Elements?

Elements is a modern Mac app for designing and building static websites—no code required (unless you want to).

What kind of websites can I build with Elements?

From personal portfolios to small business sites, landing pages, blogs, and more—Elements is flexible enough for all kinds of projects.

Do I need to know how to code?

Not at all. Elements is designed to be visual and intuitive. But if you do know HTML or CSS, you’ll feel right at home too.

Does Elements use Tailwind CSS?

Yes! Elements is built entirely on Tailwind CSS. That means every design you create is powered by clean, utility-first code under the hood—making it easy to extend, customize, and work with if you ever want to dive into the exported files.

Can I extend Elements or build custom features?

Yes! Elements includes an open, extensible API that lets you build your own components, controls, and functionality. Whether you’re adding a custom layout block or integrating with a third-party service, Elements gives you the freedom to create almost anything.

Does Elements support PHP?

Yes! Elements supports PHP out of the box. You can use PHP for contact forms, includes, CMS integrations, or any other dynamic features your site needs—all while keeping full control over your layout and design.

What are the system requirements for Elements?

Elements runs on macOS 13 Ventura or newer. It’s designed exclusively for Mac, so it feels fast, native, and right at home on your desktop.

Does Elements work with any hosting provider?

Yes. Elements exports clean, static HTML you can host anywhere—whether it’s Amazon S3, GitHub Pages, or your own FTP server.

Can I download the demo version?

Not yet. Elements is in Early Access and only available to paying users. This approach ensures that our paying customers get taken care of first, with frequent updates and improvements based on real-world use. We plan on releasing a demo version when Elements hits 1.0 later this year.

How can I get in-touch with you?

You can reach out to our support team via email, or post on the Elements Forum. We’re active on both, and we pride ourselves on fast, helpful replies, no matter where you reach out.!
